We're getting our hands on the new 4.0 inch Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone from BLU products, that obviously has a WVGA resolution and sports a 3.2 megapixel rear cam. No specs available but the device should be based on a Qualcomm platform running the Snapdragon 400 quadcore at 1,2 GHz. Looking pretty decent for a low end device with decent performance - retail price should be around 100 bucks would be my guess.

In this short video, I explain in a presentation about the concerns of the company BLU to not having given their customers a reason as to why the Kit Kat update isnt being released. In case you did not know BLU devices are actually Gionee devices . They are cheap copied Chinese phones which just basically have BLU's logo on the back. Mediatek [MTK] the company who BLU uses as their selected chipsets, has failed to fully share kernel source for certain chipsets which in return negatively delays BLU from updating their devices to Kit Kat 4.4.

Now why am I flaming Blu ? Because they should of known this would happen, they should of switch to Qualcomm based chipsets a long time ago and forgotten about MTK. 

BLU devices are currently running a year and a half old software which is embarrassing for a company who is releasing new phones in the year 2014. Instead of pushing out new phones, BLU should worry about updating your current problems first. You guys will continue to loose more customers as current BLU customers see the lack of support for the software side.

and you will see a lot of people constantly complaining.. Give us Kit Kat already.

This may work for other blue phones , although we were unable to test them. Please be careful when adjusting settings on your phone if you do not know what you are doing as it can damage the phone. This worked on the BLU Life View phone but may not work on yours.  If you have music playing in the back round while changing the volume for the speaker you can hear the difference as it does boost the sound about 20% . the prograe used to do this is launcherpro from the app store and its free (after doing this you can uninstall the launcher if you wish or keep it and use it). Using the same USB cord that you charge your phone with, this easy to follow process will have you transferring files in no time at all.  Just follow the basic video listed above and then follow any prompts that your phone may give you.  Some times their will be a message asking you if you are sure you want to do this, etc. for security reasons.  Most times its just as easy as plugging it in and identifying the folder.  Once you found the folder, just copy and paste it onto your computer and you are ready to roll.  The same goes for transferring things to your phone as well.  Music, videos, and pictures can all be transferred easily.  The newer your device, the easier your process will be.  If this video leaves some unanswered questions, then type in your actual phone model and look up file transfer on Youtube for the proper method for your device, but it's easier than you think.  So please come back from the ledge....ha.  But if you are on the ledge, then make sure your phone is protected.  Feel free to check out our link below which offers low cost and high quality solutions for all your phone protection needs.

The BLU Studio 5.0 just got a refresh with some tasty Magenta-flavored LTE support. A non-LTE version of the handset has been available for a little while now, and hosts some very acceptable features and specs for a device that only costs $249 SIM-free. It has a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 series quad-core processor. It also has an 8MP camera with HD video recording, a 1.6MP front-facing camera and a 5.0-inch display.

And now, it’s available with support for T-Mobile’s LTE frequencies:

“The Studio 5.0 LTE is comes with 4G LTE bands 4 (1700Mhz) and 7 (2600Mhz)  and 3G bands 850/1700/1900/2100.”
