In this short video, I explain in a presentation about the concerns of the company BLU to not having given their customers a reason as to why the Kit Kat update isnt being released. In case you did not know BLU devices are actually Gionee devices . They are cheap copied Chinese phones which just basically have BLU's logo on the back. Mediatek [MTK] the company who BLU uses as their selected chipsets, has failed to fully share kernel source for certain chipsets which in return negatively delays BLU from updating their devices to Kit Kat 4.4.
Now why am I flaming Blu ? Because they should of known this would happen, they should of switch to Qualcomm based chipsets a long time ago and forgotten about MTK.
BLU devices are currently running a year and a half old software which is embarrassing for a company who is releasing new phones in the year 2014. Instead of pushing out new phones, BLU should worry about updating your current problems first. You guys will continue to loose more customers as current BLU customers see the lack of support for the software side.
